Aaron Rodgers shares glimpse of his reminder notes behind ‘Jeopardy!’ podium
Episodes of Aaron Rodgers’ two-week stint as celebrity guest host of “Jeopardy!” are currently airing, and the Green Bay Packers quarterback provided a sneak peek of the notes he left for himself behind the podium.
Rodgers took to Instagram to provide glimpses of the sticky notes, which contained brief, simple reminders of how to conduct himself while performing the daunting task of stepping into the shoes of the late Alex Trebek.
The notes, which Rodgers indicated were from the second day of filming, include worthy advice such as “Speak Less,” “Slow Down,” “Stand Up Straight,” “Relax” and “Energy.” One sticky note, however, featured the joking admonition “Don’t Pick Your Nose/Butt,” which of course seems like the kind of thing Rodgers shouldn’t have to remind himself to avoid.
Rodgers has received remarkably high marks for how he’s handled his guest-hosting duties, which presumably is incredibly flattering to not only a huge fan of the show but also someone who dominated in their appearance on “Celebrity Jeopardy!” a few years back.
“Jeopardy!” has been cycling through a slate of guest hosts following the airings of the late Alex Trebek’s final batch of episodes in early January. Rodgers revealed in January how he was slated to serve as guest host, calling Trebek “one of my idols growing up.”
Trebek passed away at the age of 80 on Nov. 8, 2020 following a very public, harrowing and inspiring battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Given his affinity for “Jeopardy!” and admiration of Trebek, Rodgers was among the countless fans of the show who mourned the iconic game show host’s passing last year.
