Shaquil Barrett gets in on Tom Brady-Bruce Arians tattoo shenanigans
Bruce Arians proved himself a man of his word by getting a tattoo in celebration of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ victory in Super Bowl LV. Tom Brady, ever the wisenheimer, jokingly acted as if he got a tattoo himself which featured an image of Arians enjoying a celebratory beer at the Bucs’ Super Bowl boat parade.
Of course, Brady’s supposed Arians-themed tattoo was nothing more than a well-executed Photoshop prank. Now, it looks like Shaquil Barrett wants in on the silly shenanigans, on April Fools’ Day no less.
The Bucs star linebacker shared an image on social media Thursday of what purports to be some new ink on his arm. The “tattoo” is the infamous image of an inebriated Brady being propped up by a teammate while disembarking off a boat during the Buccaneers’ celebration on Hillsborough River in February.
Brady has since opened up about his overindulgences during the Bucs’ Super Bowl title revelry. He even jokingly acknowledged on Twitter that his stumbling stroll while being supported by quarterback Ryan Griffin was caused by imbibing on a little too much avocado tequila, whatever that is.
In the end, it’s clear the Buccaneers are thoroughly enjoying basking in the afterglow of their Super Bowl victory. While Arians did indeed get some championship ink — as did one Buccaneers player — Brady and Barrett amusingly were simply up to some Photoshop-based hijinks.
