Bryce Harper’s 18-month-old son Krew shows off some serious slugging skills

Like father, like son, it would seem in the Bryce Harper household.

The Philadelphia Phillies slugger and proud father took to Instagram this week to showcase footage of 18-month-old son Krew showcasing his slugging skills during a recent batting session.

Taking aim at a whiffle ball set on a tee, little Krew showcases a refined swing well beyond his years — or year — and absolutely demolishes a drive out into the street.

“That’ll work,” Harper writes in the Instagram dispatch.

It’s unclear exactly who is handling supervisor duties of the youngster, though the video is tagged as being filmed in Clearwater, Fla., the site of the Phillies’ spring training facilities.

Toddler Krew was born to Bryce and wife Kayla in August 2019.

He was joined by sister Brooklyn, last November.

Harper’s video of Krew crushing a whiffle ball isn’t the first time that a beaming MLB father took to social media to show off their child’s preternatural batting skills or batter’s box acumen. Back in 2017, footage of Chicago White Sox infielder Yoan Moncada’s toddler son putting on an awesome bat-flip display was similarly impressive.

Then, there was Atlanta Braves star Freddie Freeman’s four-year-old son Charlie absolutely crushing a tee-ball moon shot last fall.

Perhaps one day these three tykes will be tearing it up in big leagues just like their dads. Time will tell, but they seem to be well on their way to doing just that.
