JuJu Smith-Schuster pledges to keep dancing on opponents’ midfield logos

JuJu Smith-Schuster is refusing to back down despite blowback over his habit of dancing on opponents’ midfield logos ahead of road games and sharing footage of it on social media.
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was defiant about his patented pregame routine, arguing doing so is part of what defines him as a player.
“I’m not going to stop being myself,” Smith-Schuster said, per Steelers Depot. “I’m going to keep being the [best] JuJu I can be. Authentic. TikTok is a new platform that I’ve used to touch my fans and grow. This is something that I’ve been doing since I started the season, midseason. I even did it on the Cowboys logo, so it’s not just their (the Bills) logo, but the Steelers logo, and I plan to just keep doing it. I’m just having fun, doing myself.”
Smith-Schuster’s most recent antics involving a dance on a midfield logo came Sunday night ahead of the Steelers’ showdown with the Buffalo Bills.
Before the Sunday Night Football matchup, JuJu Smith-Schuster recorded a video of himself dancing on the charging buffalo logo at midfield at Bills Stadium.

The pregame shenanigans unsurprisingly drew the ire of several Bills players, including safety Jordan Poyer and quarterback Josh Allen, the latter of whom used Smith-Schuster’s dancing as fodder for his own pregame speech to pump up teammates.
#Bills safety Jordan Poyer said they noticed #Steelers players (JuJu Smith-Schuster) dancing on their logo before the game and that hyped them up. “That turns you up a little bit. Gets you a second itch to play with some extra fire.”pic.twitter.com/ZLdtxG8fMT

“Let them do all the talking, all the (expletive) dancing, we do the (expletive) work,” Allen said before the Bills defeated the Steelers by a score of 26-15.
“Yes, we lost, (and) they had a few words to say and it is what is,” Smith-Schuster said of the Bills’ reaction. “So, yeah, I’m not going to stop doing it.”
It’s hardly surprising that opposing players take offense to Smith-Schuster pulling such a stunt on their turf. There’s at least a decent chance that the Steelers wideout may attract a bit more than just pre- and post-game smack talk about his activities if he continues with these kind of antics.
