Patrick Mahomes hilariously reacts to Tyreek Hill’s ‘trash’ talk about him

Tyreek Hill raised a lot of eyebrows this week when he relayed his unflattering first impression of Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback will elicit some chuckles with his response.

Appearing on this week’s edition of Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” — and fresh off an incredible 13-catch, 269-yard, three-touchdown masterpiece in a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Hill revealed how he thought Mahomes was “trash” when the Chiefs selected the quarterback in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

“I thought he was trash,” Hill said of Mahomes “I ain’t gonna cap. I ain’t even gonna cap, man. When he first got there I was like, this is who y’all drafted right here? This is who y’all drafted?”

To be fair to Hill, not only was there some semblance of speculation concerning Mahomes’ ability to transition to the NFL when he was drafted, the standout wide receiver added during the interview that his teammate definitely blossomed as time went on.

“Hey but look, he proved me into a whole complete, I don’t know,” Hill continued. “That second year, like his quarterback mechanics were different. It was like he was spending more time with his quarterback coach, spending more time with Coach Reid, like learning the offense. Dude was like different.”

Even with Hill clearly clarifying his “trash” talk, Mahomes could not help but issue a comical reaction on Twitter to his teammate’s comments.

Even better, Hill surfaced on Twitter shortly afterward to make it clear he has nothing but love, admiration and respect for Mahomes, even hailing his teammate as the GOAT.

Hill’s candid comments about how he first had some doubts about Mahomes obviously are water under the bridge at this point, as the two Chiefs stars have become one of the most lethal QB-WR combinations in the league on a team that boasts a dynamic offense perhaps unparalleled in recent NFL history.

Mahomes’ reaction to Hill’s “trash” talk, though, was as accurate as one of his pinpoint downfield throws, not to mention arguably merited.
