Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski read mean tweets in Bucs video
Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are among the greatest players to ever play their respective positions, but that doesn’t mean the two NFL superstars are immune to getting hated on by social media trolls.
Brady and Gronkowski of course reunited with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, with the quarterback signing with the team after two decades and six Super Bowl championships with the New England Patriots and the tight end joining the squad after a one-season retirement.
With the Bucs sitting atop the NFC South with a 4-2 record, the team took some time to produce a video in which Brady and Gronk read mean tweets about themselves.

Perhaps the funniest part of the video is how Brady was shaded in one social media dispatch about his infamous participation in the The Match: Champions for Charity event alongside fellow NFL legend Peyton Manning and golf icons Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson back in May.
Some highlights, as covered by Golf Digest:
But amidst this bronzed, baby-oiled yuck-a-thon, there is one barb that clearly cuts Tom to the quick, even though he does his best hide it. “Tom Brady stinks at golf, LMAOO,” he reads, too annoyed to even credit the handle of his harasser. “They watch one golf match of me, for crying out loud,” he rants, refrencing his performance at The Match II while Gronk giggles away in the background. “I was bad six holes. I was bad six holes. Come on, give me a break!”
Brady was roundly mocked and ridiculed for his substandard level of play throughout a majority of the event held at the Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla.
It does merit noting, however, that Brady did pull off the shot of the day when he holed out from 100-plus yards for birdie on the seventh hole. Unfortunately, even that brilliant display of shotmaking ended in nightmarish fashion, as Brady ended up comically splitting his pants while retrieving his ball from the hole.
Reading mean tweets of course has become a popular bit thanks in large part to how it has become late-night fodder on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Having Brady and Gronkowski engage in these kind of antics certainly adds some levity to the grind of the NFL season.
Brady is known to engage in self-deprecating humor from time to time. However, it seems like he’s grown weary with the endless mock and ridicule he’s been subjected to over his golf game in recent months.
