LeBron James puts clown emoji on Donald Trump’s face during debate
The second and final 2020 Presidential Debate was held Thursday night, and LeBron James could not help but clown Donald Trump … literally.
A screenshot of a social media dispatch captured how the Los Angeles Lakers star placed a clown emoji over Trump’s face in a split-screen image from the President’s debate with Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

That James would mock Trump in such a manner hardly comes as a surprise. The Lakers star has been a vocal critic of Trump throughout his presidency, some of which stems from how the President has long been an outspoken critic of the NBA and activism by players in the league.
What’s more, James came out and bashed Trump earlier this week, saying would not waste his time by engaging with a man who has been a polarizing presence in the world of sports throughout his presidency.
James’ call for his fans to exercise their right to vote in the clowning image echoes how he did the same during the first Presidential debate.
It also follows how James spearheaded the launch of More Than A Vote, a voting rights organization he formed with several other high-profile Black athletes earlier this year. He is also partnering with former First Lady Michelle Obama on a voting initiative.
Ridiculing Trump, then, simply following the ongoing narrative surrounding James’ political leanings.
