Ex-NFL QB Mark Sanchez revealed as ‘Baby Alien’ on ‘The Masked Singer’

Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez became the latest sports star, former or otherwise, to be revealed as a participant in the FOX reality series, “The Masked Singer.”

Sanchez, who played with the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and the NFL squad now known as the Washington Football Team across an eight-year career, was unveiled as the “Baby Alien” performer after being eliminated on the surprising FOX hit, now in its fourth season.

Sanchez, a/k/a “Baby Alien,” performed “Faith” by George Michael and “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons before his elimination.

Sanchez joined the likes of Tony Hawk, Barry Zito, Victor Oladipo, Laila Ali, Johnny Weir, Terry Bradshaw and Antonio Brown as personalities from the world of sports who have taken the stage on “The Masked Singer.”

Rob Gronkowski also performed on the show earlier this year as the “White Tiger.” The then-retired tight end even teased his ultimate return to the NFL on the reality series.

Sanchez’s NFL career of course had its share of successes, but unfortunately the USC alum will forever be remembered as being victimized by the now-infamous “Butt Fumble” incident that occurred on Nov. 22, 2012 when the Jets hosted the Patriots for a Thanksgiving Day showdown.

With that in mind, it’s surprising that Sanchez characterized his experience on “The Masked Singer” as the “strangest experience” he’s ever had. That’s saying something.
