Dr. Anthony Fauci’s first pitch commemorated with bobblehead
Dr. Anthony Fauci recently joined the ranks of poor souls who have made humiliating ceremonial first pitches, and there is now a bobblehead that commemorates the infamous moment.
FOCO announced on Thursday that pre-orders can now be made on an officially MLB licensed Fauci bobblehead.

Fauci, a longtime Washington Nationals fan who has been providing myriad sports leagues valuable input amid their respective returns, handled ceremonial first pitch duties at the team’s season-opening game against the New York Yankees on July 23 at Nationals Park. It did not go well.

In the wake of the embarrassing scene that played out, Fauci was the subject of mock and ridicule. The esteemed director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases took part in the joking himself during an act of verbal self-flagellation while discussing his first pitch in an interview.
Fauci of course is not alone in the pantheon of people who have made horrific first pitches, with 50 Cent arguably heading up the group with perhaps the worst one of all time.
What’s more, much like the hip hop legend, Fauci also was celebrated with his own Topps card documenting his big mound moment, and it’s been wildly popular. Odds are Fauci’s new bobblehead will inspire a surge in demand as well.
