Tom Brady predicts lethal TD connection with Chris Godwin
Tom Brady is unsurprisingly eager to have such a talented receiving corps at his disposal on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the superstar quarterback predicted that he and one wideout in particular will enjoy many touchdown celebrations in 2020.
Brady took to Twitter this week to share some stylishly produced footage posted by the Bucs of him connecting with Chris Godwin on the practice field. In the tweet, Brady commented that the 12 + 14 (he and Godwin’s jersey numbers, of course) will equal “6.” In other words, touchdowns.

The relationship between Brady and Godwin got off to a somewhat awkward start, as the wide receiver opted to reluctantly relinquish his No. 12 jersey to the future Hall of Fame quarterback. After some hesitation, however, Godwin ultimately was left with no hard feelings over surrendering his beloved jersey number.
With that distraction now set aside, it’s clear that Brady cannot wait to exploit opposing defenses with the weapons he has on the outside. Godwin, along with fellow standout wide receiver Mike Evans, were already set to provide Brady with plenty of offensive firepower.
The fact that the Buccaneers lured longtime Brady teammate Rob Gronkowski out of retirement just makes the already-lethal offense that much more dangerous.
Now, with Brady all but guaranteeing plenty of touchdown passes to Godwin — who is coming off a breakout season during which he hauled in 86 passes for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns — it’s time to get the Bucs offense ramped up and ready to let loose.
