Lakers’ Alex Caruso proposes great gift for sister after missing wedding
Alex Caruso faced a difficult family decision last month as the NBA prepared to resume play in the Orlando, Fla. bubble, but the budding Los Angeles Lakers star ultimately elected to skip his sister’s wedding and remain at the Walt Disney World Resort.
While it was hard for Caruso to miss such an important family affair, he already is cooking up ideas on how he can make it up to his sister. Such amends involve a pretty awesome idea for a belated wedding gift that includes allowing her to take part in the Lakers’ championship parade should win the NBA title.

Explaining his decision to miss his sister’s wedding, Caruso alluded to the Lakers’ legitimate championship aspirations.
“If I was on a team that didn’t have title aspirations – a team trying to hold on to the No. 8 seed or something – it might have been different,” Caruso said in July. “But we have worked too hard.”
Interestingly enough, missing out on his sister’s nuptials was not the only wedding-related angle involving Caruso as he participates in the NBA restart at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
An image circulated on social media last month depicting how a Lakers fan surreptitiously wore a Caruso jersey during his own wedding ceremony. The emerging Lakers folk hero and fan favorite took notice of the fan’s matrimonial tribute and reacted on Twitter, writing that wearing the jersey alone during the nuptials will result in a “guaranteed successful marriage.”
