Anthony Davis jokingly loses patience with lingering LeBron James after win

LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers to a thrilling 103-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA’s return on Thursday night, and the latter clearly wanted to get back to the hotel to rest and recharge.
James, however, was apparently making that difficult. That was made clear by Davis jokingly razzing James over taking his sweet time departing the makeshift arena in the Orlando, Fla., bubble after the game.
Video shared on social media showed James was in no rush to depart after an informal media session. At least that’s how Davis saw it, as he poked his head into the room to tell James to pick up the pace. After all, it was 2:00 in the morning, and Davis was comically growing impatient while waiting on his teammate.
“Hurry up LeBron please. Whenever you’re ready. It’s already 2 in the morning.”

James arguably had every right to take it easy after a brilliant performance in the Lakers’ debut inside the Walt Disney World Resort’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. When it was all said and done, James had put up 16 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes of court time.
The Lakers superstar fittingly put an exclamation point on his standout performance with a put-back game-winning basket as well.

To be fair to Davis, though, he was understandably wiped after his own dominating performance, as the star chipped in 34 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the win. His desire to get back to the hotel, then, is understandable, even if the criticism about James slow-footing his way through his postgame routine was made in jest.
