Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen to appear on Tony Romo’s ‘In the Huddle’
Tony Romo will play a starring role in an upcoming program in which he will discuss quarterbacking in the NFL with three young up-and-coming signal-callers.
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, the New York Jets’ Sam Darnold, and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills will be featured on “In the Huddle with Tony Romo.” CBS sports reporter Tracy Wolfson will serve as host of the show, which will air on CBS on May 24.
CBS Sports says lead NFL analyst Tony Romo will talk to three young QB's – Daniel Jones of the Giants, Josh Allen of the Bills and Sam Darnold of the Jets – in a 30-minute special airing Sunday, May 24 (2 pm ET). CBS teased the program with footage from the quarterback roundtable, which of course was done remotely.

“IN THE HUDDLE WITH TONY ROMO will feature Romo talking with the three young quarterbacks about the X’s and O’s of the position, the difficulties of preparing for next season in a ‘virtual off-season’ setting, making the leap from being a first-year quarterback to the second year, and second-year to the third, as well as show a different side of their lives on and off-the-field as an NFL quarterback,” according to a CBS Sports release.
Romo obviously enjoyed a great career with the Dallas Cowboys, but his meteoric rise to becoming television’s best NFL analyst was amazing.
That’s not to say Romo’s esteemed stature in broadcasting isn’t deserved, as the bidding war for his services resulted in CBS outbidding ESPN to the tune of a record-setting contract that pays Romo $17 million per year.
The show will be an interesting watch for NFL fans, and there’s no reason to doubt that Romo will rise to the challenge in this new endeavor.
