Falcons center Alex Mack becoming expert bread maker in quarantine
People are picking up new hobbies or revisiting old ones while spending most of their time homebound during the coronavirus pandemic. Count Atlanta Falcons center Alex Mack among those who are honing a new skill. Even more impressive? Mack is turning out to be quite accomplished in his new at-home endeavor.
The six-time Pro Bowler has developed an interest in making bread, and the case can be made he’s a natural.
“To be fair, I’m not fanatical about it, like I’m doing it every day,” Mack told Jeff Schultz of The Athletic. “But I’ve made a fair amount of bread items.”
Mack’s Twitter account features several examples of his impressive culinary skills in the bread-making department.

While the final results Mack has showcased on social media look great, his inexperience in the bread-making department did rear its ugly head in one regard.
“I needed flour so I went on Amazon, and I really didn’t pay attention to the size or anything, and I ended up buying a 50-pound bag of flour,” Mack shared. “I didn’t realize how much flour 50 pounds was. So now I’m baking bread just to get rid of all the flour.”
It turns out Mack’s bread-themed pun game is quite refined as well, as evidenced by the following exchange with a fan.

While Mack, like everyone else, looks forward to life returning to some semblance of normalcy at some point, making bread is now part of his daily routine.
“It usually works out that I have two good hours to get a workout in between steps, before I circle back [to the bread],” Mack said.
