Miami Heat donates $200K, announces partnership in Share-A-Meal campaign
The Miami Heat on Friday announced a partnership with two organizations through which the aspirational goal of providing 100 million meals to South Florida families left in need because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Heat will partner with Lineage Logistics and Feeding America in an effort to achieve the stated goal and raise awareness in the former’s “Share A Meal” campaign.

The Heat and team owner’s Micky & Madeleine Arison Family Foundation collectively have donated $200,000 to Feeding South Florida, the local regional branch of Feeding America, an amount which Lineage Logistics announced it will match.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an enormous and stressful toll on lives of people across the globe,” Heat Group business operations president Eric Woolworth said in a statement, via NBA.com. “Many of our friends and neighbors in South Florida are rightfully worried about putting food on the table. By joining forces with Lineage Logistics and Feeding South Florida, we hope to ease that burden.”
Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, which are serviced by Feeding South Florida, will be the beneficiaries of the donations made by the Heat and Lineage Logistics.
