Gisele Bundchen bids heartfelt farewell to Patriots
Tom Brady has moved on from the New England Patriots and will enter the next stage of his Hall of Fame career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As the dust settles amid the news that continues to send shockwaves through the league, Gisele Bündchen took a moment to bid a heartfelt farewell to the only NFL organization she and her husband have ever known.
Taking to social media Tuesday, Bündchen expressed gratitude for the “wonderful experiences” the family enjoyed during Brady’s tenure with the Patriots.
The supermodel, who married Brady in February 2009 — the couple just celebrated their 11th anniversary — and has two children with the superstar quarterback, made her remarks in the comments section of Brady’s below farewell post to Patriots fans on Instagram.
“So much gratitude for all the wonderful experiences and friendships we had in beautiful New England [these] past few years,” Bündchen wrote.
Brady’s decision to sign with the Buccaneers — the Chargers were believed to have made the quarterback a contract offer as well — is said to have stemmed from his desire to keep his family on the East Coast.
Brady’s devotion to Bündchen and their children is well known and unsurprisingly played a significant role in his free-agency deliberations. After all, the monumental career change obviously will have a tremendous impact on his family.
It’s no surprise that Bündchen, of course a fierce supporter of her husband through all the ups and downs of his Patriots tenure, feels some semblance of sentimentality over moving on to the next chapter in their family’s life.
