Kevin Durant confirms he won’t be back this season … again
For some reason, the NBA world apparently cannot collectively accept that Kevin Durant will not play during the 2019-20 season, as the Brooklyn Nets superstar had to state the obvious yet again and confirm he will not play again until next fall.
Durant is in the midst of grueling rehabilitation program after undergoing surgery in June for an Achilles injury suffered during last season’s NBA Finals. In a wide-ranging interview with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks for “Take It There,” Durant addressed where’s he’s at in the rehab process and his approach to making a full recovery.

“The best thing for me is to continue to rehab, get as strong as I can and focus on next season,” Durant said.
Durant’s arguably unnecessary confirmation that he won’t play this season is nothing more than proof positive that neither he nor the Nets ever had any intention at any point of deviating from the originally stated plan for his recovery.
That being said, Durant continues to make remarkable strides in rehab, as evidenced not only by video of him running at full speed during a recent workout but also from footage shared Tuesday night in which the Nets star shows off his shooting touch during an on-court workout.
