Patrick Mahomes back working out after post-Super Bowl revelry
Patrick Mahomes has had the kind of whirlwind week that would make even the most centered, even-keeled person’s head spin. From basking in the immediate afterglow of the Kansas City Chiefs’ comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV to an MVP trip to Disney World to Wednesday’s victory parade in K.C., it’s been one wild ride.
Now with all the revelry beginning to ebb and flow just a bit, Mahomes has started to regroup, and the first order of business is getting refocused on his preparations for the 2020 season. That meant Mahomes was back working out at the Chiefs training facility on Friday morning.
The reigning Super Bowl MVP shared footage of himself in an Instagram story getting ready to pump some iron.

Mahomes tweeted out a great line on Thursday in response to a fan’s concern that he was suffering from a Super Bowl-sized hangover in the wake of Wednesday’s parade, relaying that no concern was needed.
Parties of course cannot last forever, even ones 50 years in the making for the Chiefs organization. It’s certainly encouraging that the 24-year-old Mahomes realizes as much.
In other words, back to work.
