Gardner Minshew mania inspires ticket deal including mustache, bandana

The Jacksonville Jaguars are all in on riding the Gardner Minshew hype train, and no more evidence is needed beyond a new ticket promotion the team is offering featuring add-ons inspired by the upstart quarterback’s individual sense of … style.

Earlier this week, the Jaguars announced an available “Minshew Mini Pack” for home games on Oct. 13 against the New Orleans Saints and on Oct. 27 against the New York Jets. Along with a ticket to the game at TIAA Bank Field, fans will be provided a fake mustache along with a bandana so they can mimic Minshew’s trademark look.

If the fake mustache and bandana were not enough, fans also will get the chance to take an on-field photo rocking their best Minshew look, as the tweet notes.

The Jaguars appeared to be in dire straits when free-agent acquisition Nick Foles suffered a broken left clavicle in the team’s Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which forced the rookie Minshew, a sixth-round pick out of Washington State, into action.

After failing to lead the Jags to victory in his first start, narrowly losing in Week 2 to the Houston Texans, Minshew has led the team to two straight wins over the Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos.

All told, Minshew has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL since his call to action. He ranks sixth in completion percentage (69.4%) and sixth in passer rating (106.9). Add in the fact he has thrown for seven touchdowns to only one interception and it’s perfectly understandable why the Jaguars are open to rolling with Minshew Mania for as long as it lasts.

And thanks to the Jags’ new ticket promo, fans can revel in the craze by donning a fake mustache and bandana in an effort to be their very best Uncle Rico-esque Minshew doppelgänger.
