Damian Lillard warns Shaq about making another diss track

The ongoing and amusing diss-track rap battle between Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal has taken another turn, for better or worse, as the Portland Trail Blazers star has warned the NBA legend that making another diss track about him would be a bad idea.

The beef set to rap beats was spawned by Lillard calling out Shaq Diesel’s talents on the mic as he touted his own rap skills during a recent appearance on the “Joe Budden Podcast.”

Shaq responded by issuing a diss track, which Lillard quickly answered with one of his own shortly afterward.

There hasn’t been much time since the competing diss tracks for the dust to settle, however, as Lillard surfaced on social media Wednesday evening to take issue with a tweet that hinted O’Neal was set to return to the studio to record yet another diss track. The Blazers star warned against doing any such thing with the message, “Don’t do it.”

Odds are that Lillard will have less and less time to occupy himself with such arguably trivial war of rhymed words — even one involving Shaq — as the regular season draws nearer and nearer. That said, there’s still plenty of time for the two MCs to drop another diss track or two. Stay tuned.
