Brooklyn Nets share first glimpse of Kevin Durant in team’s uniform
While it may be some time before Kevin Durant actually appears on the court as a member of the Brooklyn Nets, the NBA team generated some excitement Thursday by sharing the first images of the superstar in uniform.
In the photos, Durant is shown regaled in his No. 7 Nets jersey during what appears to be his official team photoshoot.

The Nets also shared images of fellow newcomer Kyrie Irving putting in some work on the court as well.

Durant is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2019-20 NBA season as he continues to recover from surgery to repair the ruptured right Achilles he suffered during the postseason with the Golden State Warriors. That said, Nets general manager Sean Marks has refused to officially rule out Durant for the entire season.
Durant’s tumultuous three-season tenure with the Warriors — one that came with two titles and two NBA Finals MVP awards — came to an end when he signed a four-year, $164 million contract with the Nets in a sign-and-trade with Golden State.
The fact that Durant has been finally seen in a Nets uniform is bound to generate quite a bit of fanfare, as has been the case with pretty much everything the enigmatic superstar has done over the summer.
The Nets, of course without Durant participating on the court, open training camp next week.
