Kevin Durant spotted in New York with heavily bandaged lower leg
Kevin Durant is at the center of the NBA universe, along with a handful of other superstars, as free agency revs up. It should not come as a surprise, then, that every move Durant makes is being closely monitored.
Earlier this week, Durant’s brother Tony shared a photograph of Durant cruising the streets of SoHo on said knee scooter. Now comes footage, courtesy of TMZ Sports, of Durant in New York with a heavily bandaged leg.
Durant underwent surgery on his ruptured right Achilles tendon in New York on June 12, and he has remained in The Big Apple ever since.
The video shows Durant, with his right leg bandaged from foot to knee, leaving a building and getting into a waiting van.
Durant’s uncertain NBA future unsurprisingly continues to be among the predominant storylines early on this offseason. Even with it being a near certainty that he’ll miss the entire 2019-20 season, Durant nevertheless remains one of the hottest commodities on the looming free agent market.
While Durant clearly has a long road in recovery, the next few weeks obviously will determine how his career will proceed once he returns to 100% health. What’s more, it’s evident that as has been the case for years, Durant will continue to be under the microscope.
