Philadelphia Zoo names three penguins after Phillies stars
The Philadelphia Zoo officially introduced three baby Humboldt penguins during a press event on Thursday, and Phillies fans will undoubtedly love the names bestowed upon the hatchlings.
Still bearing the gray down that will eventually be covered by the traditional black-and-white look, the penguins born in April and May have been named after Phillies stars [Bryce] Harper, [J.T.] Realmuto and [Aaron] Nola.

This obviously is not the first time a zoo has named an animal after a sports superstar, though sometimes it is in tribute and other times not so much.
As far as Harper, Realmuto and Nola — the penguin versions — are concerned, odds are the adorable baby birds will be a huge hit with the zoo’s visitors. Perhaps more so for Harper considering the level of fanfare the slugger generated in the City of Brotherly Love when he signed with the Phillies.
