Giannis Antetokounmpo rep slams Drake’s Game 4 antics
Toronto Raptors superfan Drake tends to be an aggravating courtside presence for visiting players, and his antics Tuesday night during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals are generating a lot of attention.
The rapper, who seems allowed to do whatever he pleases at Scotiabank Arena during Raptors games, took full advantage of his freedom to roam during Toronto’s 120-102 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks that evened up the series at two games apiece.
Drake’s antics can get somewhat out of hand at times– given he’s simply a fan, albeit one boasting superstar credentials — and that was again the case Tuesday night, as he ruthlessly trolled Giannis Antetokounmpo after the star missed a free throw.

Antetokounmpo’s representatives, to no surprise, took notice of Drake’s over-the-top taunts and weighed in on them in a message tweeted out Wednesday morning.
Georgios Dimitropoulos, the senior director for Octagon Basketball Europe, took to Twitter to slam the manner in which Drake is given free reign to do as he pleases during Raptors games.
Imagine a gig & an athlete on VIP seats, right next to the band, stands up on the stage just to show off during the entire game, knowing cameras are on him, occasionally even massaging the singer. Security&him both allow it. Never seen anything as disrespectful as this before…— Georgios Dimitropoulos (@DimitropulosOCT) May 22, 2019
Antetokounmpo was not asked about Drake’s conduct after the game, but the Bucks superstar presumably would downplay the situation, though another NBA superstar could not help but take the bait earlier in the playoffs.
Incidentally, even if the Antetokounmpo and the Bucks opt decline to take issue with Drake’s antics, Bucks fans are taking notice. “Milwaukee totally hates Drake, somehow allowed to roam the court and troll Giannis.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel published an article Tuesday night in which Drake is taken to task for his Giannis taunts, not to mention how he massaged the shoulders of Raptors head coach Nick Nurse.
why is Drake just allowed to wander freely on the sidelines? pic.twitter.com/qxl70Z9pO3— Dan Favale (@danfavale) May 22, 2019
The title of the article? “Milwaukee totally hates Drake, somehow allowed to roam the court and troll Giannis.”
It will be interesting to see whether the NBA chooses to weigh in on the Drake issue, as the case can be made not doing so would implicitly give the green light to other fans seated courtside to engage in similar behavior.
