Bills owner pays tribute to superfan ‘Pancho Billa’ upon his passing

Buffalo Bills superfan Ezra Castro, better known as “Pancho Billa,” passed away Tuesday at the tragically young age of 39, and one the team’s principal owners posted a fitting tribute to the man on social media.

Kim Pegula shared a photo on Twitter in which she is posing alongside Castro. In the tweet, Pegula hailed Castro as a “pillar of positive strength and energy” for the Bills organization and its fans.

The Bills also posted a handful of tweets to honor Castro, even pinning a video to the top of their timeline as well as sharing retweets from Bills players and luminaries.

Castro’s family announced his passing in a tweet posted Tuesday morning. They ask for privacy at this difficult time.

The heartfelt manner in which the Bills treated the news of Castro’s passing without question illustrates his profound influence and how much he will be missed by the organization, not to mention the team’s fans, who are among the most passionate and loyal fan bases in the NFL.
