Kobe Bryant welcomes Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade to ‘Rocking Chair Club’
Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade, two of the greatest basketball players of this era and beyond, wrapped up their stellar NBA careers on Wednesday night, and Kobe Bryant made sure to given them a social media shoutout on the momentous night.

Bryant, who retired in 2016 after 20 seasons, took to Twitter to congratulate Nowitzki and Wade for their outstanding careers and welcome them to the “Rocking Chair Club.”
Playing an entire career with one organization is a testament to who you are as a person @swish41 I loved and hated competing against you. Enjoy retirement my brother you deserve it #rockingchairclub

Bryant, Wade and Nowitzki obviously are all shoo-ins to be first-ballot Hall of Famers, and the fact the Lakers icon took some time to give the new retirees a shout out presumably was appreciated by both legends. The Rocking Chair Club mention certainly is a fitting and descriptive way to welcome the two into the retirement fold as well.
