Klay Thompson now praising Warriors fans instead of criticizing them
The Golden State Warriors put on a show at Oracle Arena Tuesday night in a big 116-102 victory over the Denver Nuggets, and Klay Thompson, unlike earlier this season, praised the team’s fans for their enthusiasm.
Thompson created a stir back in March when he criticized Warriors fans for their lack of passion during a loss to the lowly Phoenix Suns. The Warriors star later apologized, praising “DubNation” as the “greatest fan base in sports” and indicating he “meant no disrespect” with his comments.
Thompson, however, was singing a different tune after Tuesday’s win, singing DubNation’s praises by hailing the electric environment inside Oracle.

Tuesday’s win gave the Warriors a huge two-game lead over the Nuggets for the top spot in the West, potentially solidifying their chances of earning the top seed in the conference for the postseason.
What’s more, the Warriors, in their last ride at Oracle before moving into the billion-dollar Chase Center next season, have stated they want want to send the arena out in style.
If Golden State can put together more impressive performances like the one Tuesday night in the playoffs — whipping up DubNation into a frenzy in the process — then there’s a chance Oracle could be closed out with the Warriors celebrating a three-peat. That would certainly do the trick as it relates to giving the old arena a proper send-off.
