Rockets giving out ‘Vote for Harden’ MVP shirts at Thursday’s game
The NBA MVP race is in full swing and headed into the home stretch, so the Houston Rockets are now pulling out all the stops to promote James Harden’s candidacy.
Ahead of Thursday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets at Toyota Center, the Rockets will distribute “Vote for Harden” MVP shirts to fans.
The tee’s style is patterned after the “Vote for Pedro” shirts from the cult classic film, “Napoleon Dynamite.” All fans in attendance will receive a shirt, per the Rockets’ announcement.

The 2019 NBA MVP race is essentially a two-player battle between Harden and Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has pulled into a neck-and-neck battle with the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player.
The belief is Harden is nevertheless the favorite to secure his second straight MVP award, as the Rockets superstar has showcased a stunningly remarkable body of work during a season where he put up historic offensive numbers.
That said, Harden has been criticized for his brand of “hero ball,” and the star is said to be “sensitive” over being targeted in such a manner.
Rockets fans obviously are 100 percent behind Harden’s bid for MVP, and now those fans who attend Thursday’s game will have the shirt to prove it.
