Odell Beckham Jr. wants to live in LeBron James’ Akron mansion
Odell Beckham Jr. has been dealt to the Cleveland Browns in a shocking blockbuster trade, and the NFL superstar already is eyeing some prime real estate in Northeast Ohio.
As the finishing touches are put on the deal that will ship the enigmatic wide receiver to Cleveland, none other than Ohio favorite son and Browns backer LeBron James took to Instagram to profess disbelief over the stunning development.
Amid the over 10,000 reactions to James’ post was an intriguing one from Beckham, who indicated an interest in setting up shop in the Los Angeles Lakers star’s currently unoccupied mansion in nearby Akron.
“Lemme hold the crib down,” Beckham joked in the IG post’s comments section, per Cleveland.com.
James perhaps would not mind having Beckham temporarily live in his palatial Akron estate, but odds are the wideout could not use it as a permanent residence as James presumably intends to spend some time in his home state during the upcoming NBA offseason.
Beckham has also since taken to Instagram himself to celebrate his impending relocation to Cleveland, a surprising career change he referred to on Tuesday as “bittersweet.”
“At this point I have no idea what to think,” Beckham told NFL Network’s Kimberly Jones on Tuesday. “I’m trying to process it right now.”
It’s hardly a shock that Beckham is still processing what played out Tuesday, but it might be best for him — LeBron-related kidding aside — to have a backup plan for living arrangements once he does make his way to Cleveland.
That said, staying at James’ pad, though, could conceivably work during the NFL season with the James family living in L.A. during that part of the year. Maybe the two superstars can work something out.
