‘Feeling Brotherly Loved’: Bryce Harper surfaces on Instagram
Bryce Harper has issued his first Instagram post since his celebrated signing with the Philadelphia Phillies, and the superstar made sure the social media dispatch featured a distinct Philly vibe.
The post, which Harper also shared on Twitter, featured a photo of the smiling slugger holding a bat, rocking a headband and sporting workout gear.
“Feeling Brotherly Loved,” Harper wrote in the social media dispatches.
The slugger’s quip actually may be underselling the frenzy that the City of Brotherly Love has been whipped up into ever since Harper signed a historic 13-year, $330 million deal last week. Harper jersey sales are shattering records and the Phillies official team store at Citizens Bank Park actually ran out of Rs for jersey lettering due to the outrageous demand.
Prior to the above Instagram post, Harper’s previous dispatch was a Valentine’s Day tribute to wife Kayla on Feb. 14. Harper’s most recent tweet ahead of his “Feeling Brotherly Loved” one came when his deal was announced on March 2, in which he promoted his status as cover athlete for “MLB The Show 19.”
While Harper is not necessarily as prolific as other sports superstars on Instagram, now that he’s emerged again, expect the new Phillies sensation to continue sharing experiences from his first season in Philly.
