Patrick Mahomes reacts to Chiefs fan’s ‘Champ Stamp’ tattoo
A Kansas City Chiefs fan proved himself to be a man of his word by getting a tattoo that is now being amusingly referred to as a “Champ Stamp.”
The recently inked image is of hotshot quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and it’s generating so much attention that even the Chiefs quarterback has heard about it.

“It’s crazy. I saw it on Twitter,” Mahomes said, via Kansas City’s WDAF-TV. “It’s insane. It’s something that’s special. That’s how this community is.”
The tattoo was the result of a wager made a few years ago by David Leach, and the Chiefs superfan presumably is more than happy to have to make good on the bet with the “Champ Stamp,” given how Mahomes has made a meteoric rise to NFL superstardom.
“I’m a die-hard Chiefs fan my whole life. Two years ago I made a bet that we would never draft a franchise quarterback. We drafted Patrick Mahomes. My hometown of Raytown, Missouri, would not let me forget that,” said Leach, who now lives in California, via KCRA-3.
The Chiefs, courtesy of their outstanding 12-4 season, will enjoy a bye this weekend as the playoffs get underway in the wild-card round, but will host a to-be-determined opponent at Arrowhead Stadium on Jan. 12.
Mahomes knows Chiefs backers will be out in full force at arguably one of most raucous stadiums in the NFL, as the fan base is about as devoted as they come.
“It’s amazing the support they show us, and I’m excited we get to play the next games here at home,” Mahomes said.
