Sean Payton provides ‘Salute to Service’ hoodie to Saints fan serving overseas

Sean Payton came through in a big way for a New Orleans Saints fan currently deployed overseas by providing him a “Salute to Service” hunter green hoodie just like the one the coach has been wearing during recent games on the sidelines.

Falynn Philipello’s husband, Michael, is a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard and has been been stationed overseas since June. She wanted to get her husband one of the aforementioned hoodies in the style of Payton’s for Christmas but was having a hard time tracking one down.

Payton somehow caught wind of Philipello’s present predicament and sprang into action. The Saints head coach took to Twitter this week to notify Philipello that a “Salute to Service” hoodie was on its way.

“On its way,” Payton wrote in the tweet. “Thank you for your family’s sacrifice and service.”

Philipello, not surprisingly, was blown away by Payton’s generosity and holiday spirit, not to mention his gratitude for the sacrifices her husband and family have made in service of the country.

Who dat, indeed.
