JaVale McGee ‘so proud’ over Jordan Bell rocking fanny pack with Warriors
JaVale McGee may no longer be a member of the Golden State Warriors, but an eccentric aspect of his legacy lives on thanks to Jordan Bell.
McGee was well-known for rocking a rather odd accessory during his brief tenure with the Warriors, although referring to the fanny pack regularly donned by the center as only “odd” arguably is too kind.
Footage surfaced on Twitter of Bell donning a fanny pack — perhaps in a nod to McGee — ahead of the Warriors’ 117-101 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.

McGee, now with the Los Angeles Lakers, took notice.

McGee’s affinity for the fanny pack became an interesting side story last season when Stephen Curry was forced to wear one after losing a bet to McGee over a college basketball match-up between McGee’s Nevada Wolf Pack and Curry’s Davidson Wildcats last season. And now comes the fanny pack tribute from Bell. McGee may no longer be with the Warriors, but his eclectic sense of fashion has not been forgotten.
