Ty Montgomery wasn’t sure what state he was in after joining Ravens
Ty Montgomery has been navigating a whirlwind week to say the least. Montgomery’s life has been turned so upside-down he didn’t even know what state he was in on Wednesday.
The new Baltimore Raven met with area reporters on Wednesday after being dealt by the Green Bay Packers ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline. That’s when Montgomery expressed confusion about the exact location of the Ravens’ practice facility.

“Never spent any time in Maryland before … we are in Maryland, right?” Montgomery told reporters, as transcribed by Yahoo Sports. “This whole part of the country kind of throws me for a loop. I don’t know if I’m in Virginia or what.”
In the interest of clarity, the Ravens’ practice facility is in Owings Mills, Md., so at least Montgomery was correct despite his confusion.
Montgomery of course saw a promising career with the Packers come to a screeching halt over the weekend thanks to his actions during Sunday’s 29-27 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Montgomery became a gameday goat by turning over the ball after deciding to take the ball out of the end zone on an ill-advised kickoff return, only to fumble the ball away and not give Aaron Rodgers the opportunity to execute one of his patented late-game comebacks.
With all that in mind — the gaffe, the trade, the new team — it’s not surprising Montgomery is a little out of sorts at the moment.
