Fan bravely wrangles opossum in stands at Browns-Jets game
An opossum was on the loose in the stands at FirstEnergy Stadium ahead of Thursday night’s primetime game between the host Cleveland Browns and New York Jets. After efforts by stadium security to wrangle the wily critter proved unsuccessful, a very brave fan swooped in and snatched up the marsupial.
The entire situation of course played out on social media. Here are the highlights.
Update: there’s an opossum in section 101 with security trying to corral it. Tonight is the night.

As noted, order was ultimately restored, thanks to the aforementioned fan who evidently has no fear of rabies or what have you.
A fan just grabbed that possum by the tail and threw him in a box. It was incredible.

As anyone who has encountered one in the wild can surely attest, possums can be quite aggressive and downright nasty. Razor sharp teeth to boot. Kudos to the fan who put the greater stadium community ahead of his own safety to secure the beast.
Finally, an obligatory Browns dig using the opossum as a jumping-off point.
They play dead at home and get killed on the road..
