Todd Gurley hates dogs but plans on becoming a crazy ‘Cat Dude’
Todd Gurley revealed in a recent interview that when it comes to dogs, he’s no fan. In fact, the Los Angeles Rams running back took it one step further while also proclaiming his admiration for felines.
“And I hate dogs. I love cats, though. Cats are so cool,” Gurley told ESPN’s Sam Alipour. “Actually, I’m probably gonna get some this year.”
Gurley went on to explain in the interview, which appears in ESPN The Magazine’s NFL Preview issue, that there are plans in the works to get himself a couple of cats sooner rather than later.
Sorry, you’re gonna get a bunch of cats?
Two, at least, so they can, you know, conversate or whatever. I mean, how would I feel if I was a cat and someone bought me and just left me by myself for like 20 years?
So, you’re the Crazy Cat Lady.
Yeah, I’ll be Cat Dude.
Gurley’s condemnation of canines and love of felines not surprisingly elicited strong opinions on both side of the cat-dog debate. The superstar running back spent some time in recent days reacting to social media dispatches on the topic.

The Dog vs. Cat conundrum obviously is a polarizing issue that inspires passionate discussion. It appears that Gurley recognizes how taking one side over the other can pose problems.
