Report: Retirement a ‘serious consideration’ for Dwyane Wade
It remains unclear whether or not Dwyane Wade will lace them up for a 16th NBA season. While the veteran superstar has revealed if he does play in 2018-19 it will be with the Miami Heat, a new report suggests Wade is seriously contemplating hanging it up for good.
The news comes courtesy of Hoops Hype’s Alex Kennedy via Twitter Wednesday morning.
Contrary to a Twitter report, Dwyane Wade and the Heat haven't come to an agreement. In fact, there's some doubt that the two sides will be able to reach a deal. Retirement is a serious consideration for Wade. If he plays, it'll be in Miami. But there's no guarantee he'll play.

It would appear that desire is not the only thing that will determine whether or not Wade decides to play another season. As Kennedy’s tweet notes, the possibility reportedly exists that Wade and the Heat may not be able to work out a mutually satisfying deal.
It seems the news Tuesday that Wade would play one final season with the Heat before retiring was at least premature.
Wade looks to be still be putting in the work to stay in shape, though, which is encouraging for those hoping to see him suit up again.

Regardless of whether or not Wade, 36, opts to make a go of it for one last run, there’s no question he’ll retire as one of the best to ever play the game. In other words, D-Wade’s legacy is more than locked down.
