Cleveland paper zings LeBron James over his first visit with Lakers (pic)
The NBA has started revealing some details of the 2018-19 NBA season schedule. And one of the key dates made public is how LeBron James will make his first return visit to Cleveland as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 21. for a showdown with the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cleveland Plain-Dealer decided to have some fun with big news about the prodigal son paying a visit to town with his new team. How? By highlighting Lonzo Ball, not King James, as the big story of the Lakers’ visit.
Instead of touting James’ return in the boldfaced headline, Ball’s name takes top billing, with James subtly noted below as an afterthought.

Even though the troll-job was well-executed, it warrants mentioning that James’ decision to leave Cleveland for a second time did not elicit as vitriolic reaction in town when compared to when he took his talents to South Beach to join the Miami Heat in 2010.
With that in mind, the slight of James in the headline has less to do with any bitterness over his latest departure. Instead, it was more likely done just to have a little fun with James’ first return visit.
