Watch: Odell Beckham Jr., Saquon Barkley juggle football like soccer ball

Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley spent some down time during training camp on Friday expertly juggling a football like a soccer ball.

Despite the football’s oblate spheroid shape — which lends to unpredictability when compared to a spherical polyhedron soccer ball — the two New York Giants teammates seemed to have a solid handle on things.

The Giants posted footage of the dynamic duo’s antics along with the message “Friendship goals.”

Impressive. The kind of teamwork displayed by the two stars’ juggling antics hopefully is a harbinger to how they perform in tandem on the gridiron. And given how great Beckham has looked so far in camp — along with Barkley’s potential — it’s certainly possible, if not likely.

The prospects of the Giants enjoying success in the 2018 NFL season hinges upon Beckham and Barkley providing a one-two punch at the skill positions, allowing Eli Manning the comfort to rebound from an underwhelming 2017 campaign.

Beyond that notion, the hope for the Giants and their fans is that the team and Beckham can come to terms on a long-term deal — which appears to be in the works — thereby ensuring he and Barkley can dazzle both on and off the field for years to come.
