Max Scherzer is a cutthroat Connect Four player

Max Scherzer, among the best pitchers in Major League Baseball, apparently carries his dominance in competition well beyond the mound. It turns out that the Washington Nationals ace is a cutthroat force when playing Connect Four.

Ahead of Monday’s 6-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, MASN’s Dan Kolko passed some time by playing a few rounds of the classic game against Scherzer. It sounds like Kolko had no chance whatsoever against a player who boasts the skills of Scherzer.

Interestingly, Scherzer is not the only high-profile professional athlete to demonstrate dominance on the Connect Four scene. The NBA’s Rajon Rondo is well-known as a Connect Four aficionado as well. And like Scherzer, Rondo takes great satisfaction from owning his opponents.

Somebody needs to set up a superstar showdown between Scherzer and Rondo stat.
