Manny Machado reacts to impending reported trade to Dodgers
Manny Machado, after prolonged speculation that has gone on for months, will be traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to a report Tuesday from USA TODAY’s Bob Nightengale.

The 26-year-old shortstop made his first comments since the report broke about his impending trade to the Dodgers in a brief conversation with Fancred’s Jon Heyman ahead of Tuesday’s 2018 MLB All-Star Game.
Manny Machado just stopped by, and he said he’s seeing the reports of Dodgers and thinks/assumes they’re right (tho he said he doesn’t know for sure). The Miami product who’s been an Orioles his whole career said: “It’ll be different. But different can be good.”

Machado is enjoying a standout season on an otherwise awful Orioles team, batting .315 with 24 homers, 65 RBI and posting a .963 OPS.
Machado previously has admitted to growing weary of all the trade talk and rampant speculation, so it must come as a huge relief for Machado that all the drama is nearing an end, barring any last minute and unforeseen breakdowns.
Although if that were to somehow happen and the Dodgers and Orioles failed to seal the deal at such a late stage, another team would presumably swoop in for Machado’s services, as it’s been a foregone conclusion for some time now that the Orioles had no choice but to trade Machado ahead of the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.
