Carson Wentz took advantage of the the NFL’s “summer break” between the Philadelphia Eagles’ offseason program and when training camp opens later this month by getting married to Madison Oberg over the weekend.

Wentz and Oberg got engaged back in February, two days after the Eagles won Super Bowl LII (albeit without Wentz, who was injured). The couple reportedly tied the knot over the weekend in a ceremony at The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, Pa., about 40 miles outside of Philadelphia.

Wentz on Monday morning shared some photographs from the nuptials on Twitter.

“Such a blessing to finally get to marry my best friend! It was an incredible day and God has his fingerprints all over our story! I’m a lucky man with one amazing wife #WentzUponATime,” Wentz tweeted.

One lucky Eagles fan had a lakeside view of the wedding ceremony. Christy Stack managed to take some photographs from her boat and later shared them on Facebook.

“We could hear the whole ceremony! And then after ‘you may kiss the bride’ a guy on a kayak did the Eagles chant ,” Stack wrote in the Facebook post.

As far as football is concerned, Wentz has every intention of being under center in Week 1 after going down with his knee injury in Week 13 that ended his MVP-caliber season. Nick Foles of course performed brilliantly in his stead, ultimately earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has consistently hedged his bets concerning Wentz’s possible availability when the Eagles open up the season on Sept. 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, although he’s been encouraged by the quarterback’s progress.

That said, the only thing presumably on Wentz’s mind at the moment is a possible honeymoon. But that does not mean Wentz won’t be raring and ready to go when Eagles players report to camp on July 25.
