Aaron Judge plays catch with young fan in stands between innings (vid)
Aaron Judge has cultivated a reputation for being fan-friendly early on in his MLB career. And the New York Yankees superstar continues to be a great ambassador for the game thanks to giving a young baseball fan a huge thrill by having a game of catch between innings.
The young Yankees fan, regaled in a Judge 2017 All-Star Game jersey, was sitting in the outfield stands during Monday’s 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.
The boy tossed a ball out into the field of play as Judge was taking his position. The Yankees slugger picked up the ball and tossed it back to the youngster, after which a few throws back and forth ensued.

It’s cool how Judge kept eyeing whether play was about to start so to allow the game of catch to go on as long as possible before indicating only one more toss could occur.
This is not the first time Judge has taken part in a game of catch with a young fan at an opposing ballpark and odds are it will not be the last, either.
Major League Baseball is said to be in crisis over its lack of appeal to younger generations. But with players like Judge willing to do the simple things — while giving young fans memories to last a lifetime — perhaps all hope should not be lost.
