Draymond Green cracks joke about Game 5 outfit on cusp of sweep
The Golden State Warriors have the Cleveland Cavaliers on the ropes after a 110-102 victory Wednesday in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. And the seemingly unstoppable Warriors squad can deal the Cavs a knockout blow on Friday night in Game 4 at Quicken Loans Arena.
With a series sweep tantalizingly in reach for Golden State, Draymond Green cracked a great joke about having a “pretty dope” outfit planned for Game 5. However, on the cusp of a sweep, Green hopes he does not have to break it out.
Draymond Green: “I got a Game 5 outfit. It’s pretty dope. I don’t want to wear it though.”

Well played.
Green is also getting it done on the court, averaging 10.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in the postseason. Green again enjoyed a solid all-around effort in Wednesday’s Game 3 win with 10 points, four rebounds and nine assists.

It’s consistent showings like the one Green put up in Game 5 that elicits such high praise from his coach, Steve Kerr.
Still, it would be a shame if we could not see Green’s “pretty dope” duds planned for Game 5. Perhaps he can bump up the getup in the rotation.
