Rockets GM, Mark Cuban joke on Twitter about Bryan Colangelo debacle

Count Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban among those within the NBA community having a good laugh over the Twitter burner account debacle plaguing now-embattled Philadelphia 76ers president Bryan Colangelo.

A bombshell article from Ben Detrick published Tuesday on The Ringer goes into great detail to allege how Colangelo set up several secret accounts from which he criticized 76ers players, trashed fellow NBA executives and revealed privileged information about the team, among other things, in an effort to build himself up.

The Sixers have since announced the team has launched an official investigation into the matter.

Not surprisingly, Colangelo has now become the target of mockery and ridicule on Twitter, with barbs coming from some of the bigger names in basketball, including Morey and Cuban.

The two engaged in some banter about the mess on Tuesday evening, although without ever mentioning Colangelo’s name. It all started with a tweet from The Dream Shake, a Rockets-centric SB Nation site, about not being a Morey burner account.

To which Morey replied:

Cuban then got in on the action by replying to Morey’s tweet.

The witty repartee did not end there, either.

Morey then referenced Cuban’s social media company Cyber Dust in a subsequent tweet.

It seems like everyone is having a good laugh over the Colangelo Twitter burner scandal. Well, except for Colagnelo and the Sixers, of course. And the embarrassment is not about to end anytime soon, either, no matter things shake out in the aftermath of such an utter disaster.
