Cavaliers to start Jeff Green in Game 7 with Kevin Love out

The Cleveland Cavaliers have ruled out Kevin Love due to a concussion for Sunday night’s Game 7 showdown with the Boston Celtics. That leaves the Cavaliers in a tough spot heading into TD Garden, where they have had no success so far in the series.

With the injury, Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue is forced to make yet another lineup change. Lue has elected to start Jeff Green in Love’s place.

In Game 6, Jeff Green provided a spark of energy off the bench after Love was ruled out. Green scored 14 points with three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the Cavaliers’ 109-99 victory. The biggest question who will step up in Boston with a berth in the NBA Finals at stake.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens now knows who will be getting an uptick in minutes for the Cavaliers Sunday night, giving him a lot more time to game-plan for those specific players.
