Report: Kevin Love ‘needs rest’ before concussion evaluation
In the midst of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 109-99 Game 6 victory over the Boston Celtics, Kevin Love bumped heads with Jayson Tatum, forcing him out of the rest of the game and possibly Game 7 as well.

The initial reports have indicated that Love will be a “toss up” for playing in Game 7 Sunday in Boston. As of now, all the Cavaliers can do is wait as he will be evaluated further Saturday for his Game 7 status.
Multiple sources with knowledge of Love’s status told ESPN that the next stage of the evaluation process won’t be possible until Love has a night’s rest.
“[Saturday] will tell us more,” one source said.
After Love was announced as “out” for the rest of the game, role players like Larry Nance Jr. and Jeff Green came off the bench and provided excellent contributions on both ends of the floor to bring home another win for the Cavaliers.
Nance came off the bench and provided 21 minutes, scoring ten points and grabbing seven boards while shooting 5-of-5 from the field. Even if Love ends up playing in Game 7, the Cavs will need their role players to continue their solid play if they want to beat the Celtics at home.
