To say the Vegas Golden Knights’ remarkable run to the Western Conference semifinals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs has whipped Sin City up into a frenzy would be an understatement. Now even the Las Vegas Police Department is getting in on the action by hopping on the first-year, NHL expansion team’s bandwagon.
The Golden Knights on Tuesday made note of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s newest K9 officer, a dog who just so happens to go by the name “Knight.” Even better, Knight has his own Golden Knights jersey.

The German Shepard began his policing duties about three weeks ago. The Golden Knights, meanwhile, begin their Western Conference semifinals series with the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night in the friendly confines of T-Mobile Arena. No word on whether or not Knight has been assigned the arena beat or if he’ll otherwise make an appearance at Game 1.
