Gabrielle Union praises hubby Dwyane Wade after standout Game 2 performance

Dwyane Wade played brilliantly in the Miami Heat’s 113-103 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday. In fact, Wade’s 28-point performance on 11-of-16 shooting — not to mention having a tremendous all-around performance — elicited suggestions that the 36-year-old veteran “turned back the clock” with his play in Game 2 in a win that evened up the series at one game apiece.

Gabrielle Union, Wade’s wife, was having none of such chatter.

Union took to Twitter shortly after her husband’s big game to defend him and dismiss the notion that Wade’s play solely was a case of him hearkening back to his younger days.

Union did not stop there, either. A subsequent tweet hinted that Union had something special in mind to reward her husband for his standout playoff game performance.

Union and Wade are well-known for getting a little frisky on social media, to put it mildly, so for Union to come out and make such a proclamation is no surprise. That said, Union’s first tweet is also “vintage” — to use her term — as she has no problem whatsoever defending her husband when she believes it to be necessary.
