Ducks fan Snoop Dogg gives shout-out to Predators, P.K. Subban (vid)
Snoop Dogg may be an Anaheim Ducks super-fan, but for one day, the hip hop icon was all about the Nashville Predators … for some unknown reason.
In a tweet posted by the NHL, Snoop — who awesomely refers to himself as “Dogg Cherry” in a fantastic Don Cherry reference — gives the Predators, along with star P.K. Subban, a shout-out for qualifying for the postseason.
A little shoutout from @SnoopDogg to the @PredsNHL.

“What it do it’s your boy, the one and only Dogg Cherry, AKA 99-plus-2 — the greater one,” Snoop says in the video, via Puck Daddy. “Shooting a congratulations out to the Nashville Predators. Congratulations on making the playoffs, way to go fellas.
“Yo PK! Hello! Let’s go.”
What makes the video even stranger — beyond Snoop’s Ducks fandom — is how the Predators clinched a spot in the postseason in mid-March. In fact, Nashville was the first NHL team to punch its playoff ticket. So the timing of Snoop’s — Dogg Cherry’s — video is indeed odd.
Perhaps Snoop is jumping ship and hopping on the Predators’ bandwagon. After all, Nashville boasts an NHL-best 113 points as of Wednesday and without question is among the favorites to win the Stanley Cup.
However, Snoop’s Ducks (95 points) are locked into a playoff spot at the moment, currently slotted as the top Wild Card team in the Western Conference with three games to play. So, what gives? Is Snoop Dogg a two-timing fan?
Or perhaps is Snoop’s Dogg Cherry persona a hint at something to come concerning the rapper playing NHL promoter for the Stanley Cup Playoffs? Wait and see, it would appear.
